Luton Borough Council has worked in collaboration with Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council to establish the Special Interest Group (SIG) against right-wing extremism, launched in January 2013. It was created to reduce the threat posed by far-right extremist groups to the safety and security of East Lancashire, and to share best practice across the UK.
