Established in 1992 and focused on Hungary, the Mahatma Gandhi Human Rights Organisation attempts to emulate the lessons of Mahatma Gandhi’s non-violent actions against racism and discrimination in South Africa and India. The Organisation looks at this problems through all dimensions: it works to integrate minority groups into communities (even with the provision of legal aid), it organises events to promote cross-cultural understanding and integration, it creates workshops for historically discriminated groups (like African immigrants and Roma) and it promotes tolerance and anti-discrimination among youths in school.
