Following the Bali bombing in 2002, which claimed 227 victims and injured many more, the Bali Peace Park Association Inc. has sought to raise $3 million to erect a memorial garden on the Sari Club Site in Kuta, Bali. The Association also encompasses the Beyond Bali Project, funded by the Australian Attorney-General’s Department BCR (Building Community Resilience) Grants Program. The BCR program aims to support community projects that build resilience to violent extremism at the grassroots level.
