This report describes the findings from an online mapping of the populist right and right-wing extremism in Europe. The report descirbes what the web is able to tell us about right-wing formations online, that is, both the populist right as well as more violent extremist groups. The report provides a mapping exercise for each of the following countries: Austria, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Denmark, Norway, France, Spain, Bulgaria and Serbia. The report also examines the transnational networks of online right-wing movements. The paper also looks at the content embedded within these networks, examining their core issue frames, attidues and opinions. Finally, the project examines existing counter-measures that have been activated to counter the appeal of right-wing extremism on the internet and social media.
