This lecture outlines the challenges and dangers of inadequate education opportunities in Pakistan. The lecturer suggests that lack of education is one driver to radicalization and recruitment. The lecturer argues that a strong and effective education system in Pakistan, achieved through political reform, should be a top priority in terms of US Foreign Policy and aid in order to prevent violent extremism and terrorism in Pakistani society. The lecturer outlines some of the programming that has already been done, as well as highlights the gaps and challenges associated with improving the education sector in Pakistan.
