Large-scale Victimisation as a Potential Source of Terrorist Activities: Importance of Regaining Security in Post-conflict Societies

This collection of essays discuss many subjects related to victims of terrorism, and as a whole, suggest that victims of terrorism are an integral part of re-establishing security in a post-conflict situation. While no individual essay addresses how victims’ narratives could be beneficial to building resilience in the community, the various authors point to the need to re-establish trust between security forces and society post-conflict, and the various ways in which this can be done through supporting victims of terrorism.
