This report stemmed from an expert discussion that took place in the Netherlands in June 2009, hosted by the National Coordinator for Counterterrorism (NCTb) and the Centre for Terrorism and Counterterrorism (CTC) and Leiden University. With regards to formers’ narratives, Chapter 6 (by Michael Jacobson) highlights the lessons that can be learned from terrorist dropouts in crafting counter-narratives.
