Seeded in 2003, Elays Network takes pride of its unique direction as a youth organisation run for and by young people. One of the driving forces behind Elays was to improve the media’s negative image of Somali people in the United Kingdom. Currently Elays is working with Youth Offending Team schools and Wandsworth Job Centre to reach out to young people and provide their aforementioned development projects, with an underlying layer of Islamic teaching.
