This paper looks at how terrorism is linked to education and poverty in the context of Palstine. The source material for this study is Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad documentary soruces. Between the late 1980s and May 2002, it was found that both a higher standard of living and higher education were associated with becoming a suicide bomber. On the other hand, family life, particularly marriage, was show to decrease the chances that an individual would participate in terrorism.
