With Muslims as a case study, this unique research by the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, the Vodafone Foundation Germany and the British Council is looking into the complexity of media use in an ever-diverse Europe. Building on a small-scale pilot research project conducted by ISD in cooperation with the Vodafone Foundation Germany, the research investigates possible patterns in the use and production of media and their relationship to inter-ethnic relations in Europe. Based on hundreds of interviews conducted by research teams in Germany and the UK, the paper seeks to understand the relationship between media production and consumption and community relations, with a particular focus on Muslim communities.
