The Policy Centre for Roma and Minorities was founded in Romania in 2008, following a Council of Europe recommendation on the establishment of a think tank for Roma., The Centre carries out a 3-prong strategy for resolving conflict with the Roma: changing negative attitudes toward the Roma population, social inclusion policies, and promoting the presence of an active citizenship in the effort. In changing negative attitudes, they focus on youth development and sport: like other organisations, the Centre uses football to show the positive attributes of working with the Roma population. They also use training seminars in kindergarten to share the importance of acceptance and tolerance of others, especially geared towards acceptance of the Roma population.
