The publication contains information on the number of immigrants and descendants in Denmark and illustrates their integration into the educational system and the labour market by pointing out the main trends over time and in relation to gender, age, selected nationalities, etc. The analyses of the publication are based mainly on the most recent register data from Statistics Denmark, available to the Ministry of Refugee, Immigration and Integration Affairs (hereafter the Ministry of Integration) via the Immigration Database of the Ministry of Integration, managed by Statistics Denmark, and via StatBank Denmark of Statistics Denmark. Moreover, a number of analyses are based on special runs from Statistics Denmark, thereby combining register data in new ways.
